BLACK GARLIC POWDER
Black garlic is the result of fermentation, a preservation technique for thousands of years. The garlic caramelizes as it ages allowing for the sugars and amino acids to produce a dark substance called melanoidin. This product has no pungent odor, no bite but is rather mellow and adds umami flavors to any plate.
With notes of roasted garlic, balsamic vinegar, and tamarind, black garlic can be used in dips, savory scones, or in fried rice dishes.
Try this to add depth to anything from burgers, brownies, strawberry salad, sprinkled on seared tuna steaks, or (our favorite) folded into eggs prior to making an omelet.
